I remember reading about this on a tech blog site, I think the author announced he was almost done with it, and posted some pics and was taking orders. Something vague like that. Anyway, then I saw this in my recommended list on Amazon and decided to pick it up based on the reviews.Yes, $75 is a lot for a coffee table book. But it's a small publisher effort, so it's understandable. And the work is excellent. It truly is very well executed.Normally I would just page through a book like this in one sitting and throw it on the shelf and go back to it over time to remember the "old days". With this book, it took several days to complete it, I wanted to read all the copy, and there is so much to see on the pictures, it's pretty much covered the entire span of Apple technology.Even if you have the Apple Design book (as I do), I would recommend this title. It's excellent.This is a very fun book and the photography is excellent. My actual Lime Green iBook SE is pictured in this book (pages 110, 112-113 and 115 in the revised edition), so I'm a little biased. Johathan Zufi purchased my iBook from ebay in order to photograph it for this book, so I HAD to buy it, but if you love apple products, you will see some excellent photos of them here in this collection. I know a lot about older Apple stuff, and I saw at least a few products that I did not know ever existed.... and many others that I had at one time and remembered fondly... so it was fun. There are some neat quotes from Apple guys too... Johathan Zufi is a great guy too. I have spoken with him a few times via email and he is always responsive and courteous. I'm happy to support his effort here, which was massive and you will be able to see that right away when you look at this awesome book.This is a truly fantastic coffee table book. It also reminds me that design innovation at Apple has been going on for decades, especially when you realize that many of the materials used in the latest iPhone were simply theories and wishes a few years ago. Also makes a great gift - gave a copy to my son who's just started a new company. Also highlights the huge task ahead if Apple wants to maintain it's name as iconic. There's not much revolution left in phone design.The book is thoughtfully laid out and a joy with two primary complaints: it isn’t as comprehensive as it should be and there is no standardized approach to the photos (all at different perspectives/angles). Also the book is outdated and many new products out aren’t included (among a few other regrettable decisions as regards quotes).A great coffee table book. Beautiful photos and perfect for anyone who uses/loves Apple products or follows the Company. It highlights a lot of products that I've owned over the years and had since forgotten, as well as products I remember fondly e.g. the bondi blue iMac. There are even photos of accessories and peripherals. I found the the last photo - a nod to Steve Jobs - to be particularly touching. The original book I received had black smudges on a few of the pages from the printing process. When I noted the imperfections in an earlier review, the author contacted me and sent a replacement. This gesture showed me how much care the author put into this endeavor. A real treat.I purchased this book for my technology-mad teenage son, and then realized it was also the perfect gift for his godfather's birthday. It is put together incredibly well, and will provide endless hours of scrutiny and reflection. I am certain that this will be a book that will remain in our family and one day be a valuable keepsake.What an interesting journey my lifetime has seen with the invention of personal computing, iPod, iPhone. The beauty and functional elegance of these breakthroughs by Apple is captured in these pages, gorgeous pictures, pertinent thoughts.Really impressed with this nice coffee table book. It covers from Apple I to many of the products of 2012. Great photo quality and a great resource of detail with photos of many unknown prototype devices.This book is a piece of Art, just like Apple's design has always been about the look and feel of simplicity. It is a book devoted to Apple products in pictures. It is very thorough and includes a lot of misses that you would have totally forgot about. I ordered 1 for myself and another for a family member for Christmas after I received mine. He ran an independent Apple franchise in the late 70's through the 80's before being bought out when Apple opened their own unique iconic stores.I'm strictly Blackberry but I bought this for my Apple-nut partner and he adores it, so if you have an Apple fan in your circle of friends and family I can assure you that they will love it. It's printed beautifully on excellent quality paper. Can't go wrong!Whats illustrated is interesting but a few less full page photos of legacy products and more of the recent products, strangely omitted, especially the detail that goes into manufacturing would have been welcome.In fact if i had browsed this in a bookshop first i probably wouldnt have bought it.This is the book that I was looking for! I love Apple products, because of their quality and stunning design. I am interested in first Apple products and in the company history. This book shows almost all Apple products. The design of the book is perfect. Great quality pictures. Well presented! The best gift for a true Apple fan or those who are interested in technology development.One minus found - some products missing in this book, but this is not an issue.It is worth the money, so don't think, just buy it!Got this as a really nice coffee table book for an Apple fan and he's extremely pleased with itBeautiful book and amazing quality
