Bought this for my wife. At first she was like...Meh. Cause she had been used to having the flip-over case cover. Her first day of using it she took it off when moving around the house. On and after the 2nd day she has not took the tablet off of this stand, moving her tablet around the house and setting it down with ease almost any where, bathroom counter, kitchen counter, her makeup desk and even when sitting on the couch. Even when lying in bed while setting it on her abdomen or set aside on the bed. The height was just right without having to lift up or down. The flip-over case cover that she had been using did not have to be taken off the whole thing can be mounted on this stand.I got this stand to hold the 2nd monitor for my laptop (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BB5T7FV), as the included stand/case caused the additional monitor to sit too low for my tastes.It just barely fits, and is held very securely.I have another tablet stand that I use. That one has an articulated arm, like the old-fashioned desk lamps. That one was out of stock when I decided I wanted another, so I nabbed this one to hold a new tablet.It works as advertised.It's essentially a bent piece of sturdy metal, in a bit of an angled L-shape. Attached to that is the spring gripper. The grips are nice and flat, and accommodate my 10-inch iPad with a case just fine. It's got a strap to help pull the grips apart, which I didn't know I needed until I got this.The only real adjustment is that the grip can slide up and down just a little bit, and rotate or swivel. It's held exactly in the same spot, though, unlike the articulated arm style, which can be taller or shorter as needed in a moment.If you have a spot where the tablet just needs to be in about the same spot, maybe with little adjustments of angle or orientation, this works. If you need to move the tablet vertically more than a smidge, the others probably work better.The base is also a little thick, and has a little curve at the end--not exactly a flat L-shape. The bottom is a little arced, so that the back and front touch the desk, but the middle doesn't; I suppose this allows for some stability on not-exactly flat surfaces.I use this tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard, and it seemed like it might be able to tuck they keyboard under the tablet, over the base a little, but the little feet of the keyboard don't lift it enough. It's fine to store there, but it isn't possible to type with that. That's really more on the keyboard, though, as it slid under a different (wired to a desktop) keyboard just fine, so a keyboard with a higher lift will accomplish the idea.This stand stands where you put it. The tablet stays a few inches off the table, and points where you aim it. Depending on how often or hard you tap on it, it stays put, and is easy to adjust when the angle isn't just right for the task at hand. Easy to get the tablet in and out.????My first one lasted about 2 years. Metal point where neck is connected Ted to the base snapped off. (I think I was torquing the tightened too tight.Still a good product…I now have one for home and one for the office. I gave it five stars for 'lightweight', but it isn't the lightest one I've tried -- but lighter stands don't stay in place. This one is the perfect size and weight, and being able to swivel between portrait and landscape modes is great.
