Edited: I contacted the company through Amazon messages and they were so quick and responsive. They immediately sent me one that works and has a spare battery in the box, 2-day shipping! I think the working product is a 5-star item, but because I guess the first 2 had dead batteries and it was a hassle to have to wait for a 3rd one I took away one star.Original review (2 stars): I got two of these and neither one erased when the button was pushed (and I tried with lock switch on and off). But the unit seemed nice and the writing was clear. If it worked it would be 5 stars, but after ordering and returning, ordering and returning 2 defective units I am giving up.I suppose this is a case of 'you get what you pay for.'Purchased 1 of these and 4 of the other cheapers ones. All the cheap ones are dead. The first one of these did die eventually but that was after 4 years. The other only lasted 1-2 years. So we bought another one of this brand and hope to get at least another 4 years out of it.UPDATE!!! So the very nice people messaged me back and let me know that the lock button was probably on. My dumb self didn’t know there was a lock button. ? so since unlocking it, the batteries did work and the writing tablet is really nice. I’m very excited to let my kids play these! Apologies to Jonzoo!They seemed like a great idea. I bought 3 of them and had 6 total batteries! NONE OF THE BATTERIES WORKED! I mean how! Out of 6! I bought this for a 3yr. old. But he loves it & so far it has not brokenGreat value for the money; perfect for our intended purposes- would recommendImpossible to erase. Buttons do not function.
